From June 04, 2016 to June 12, 2016, FAW-Volkswagen Sales Co., Ltd. organized 2016 FAW-Volkswagen Jetta Depopulated Zone Challenge Activity over A Thousand Miles. The challenger drove a FAW-Volkswagen Jetta 1.6L family car without special performance modification to depart from Dari County, Qinghai Province and finally arrive at Wudaoliang Protection Station of Hoh Xil Natural Reserve via Yellow River Village, Yeniugou, Madoi County, Sanjiangyuan Natural Reserve, Yellow River Origin, Qiuzhi Village and Qumahe Village. With 1297.9 km of consecutive driving distance on non-paving road of the depopulated zone, this set the world record granted by the World Record Association for being the longest distance on non-paving road of depopulated zone consecutively driven by 1.6L family car in the world.
